Hungarian Cultural Centre "Népkör"
During the studio work, choreographer Adrienn Hód creates intimate situations in which the performers are given space and trust to experiment with physicality and other forms of expression. Her working method is based on improvisation, which later appears on stage in a structured framework. In her workshop, she offers a concentrated insight into this working method together with dancers from her own company Hodworks as well as Bremen based company Unusual Symptoms. Participants are invited to work on imagination and physical sensations, to discover the energy of breath and voice work and explore the use of the human voice as a motor for movement. Using tasks used during the creation of Coexist, Hód’s work with Unusual Symptoms, participants will explore the relationship between personal emotions and sensations and physicality.
